The Workshop of ODA/UNESCO Project for Collaboration on Education and S&T in Asia Pacific Region will be organized during 30 – 31 May 2011, in Hanoi, Vietnam, to discuss about localization and adaptation of the course materials and curriculum of the Energy for Sustainable Development in Asia course launched by UNESCO COMPETENCE Program.
This is the extension project of UNESCO COMPETENCE of "Energy for Sustainable Development in Asia", led by UNESCO Jakarta. SEE Forum is core partner for this project.
The Workshop of ODA/UNESCO Project for Collaboration on Education and S&T in Asia Pacific Region was organized during 30 – 31 May 2011 in Hanoi. 30 committed scientists and lectureres from not only Japan and Vietnam, but also several Asian countries joined and discussed to create a multi- and inter-disciplinary higher education course in Vietnam that covers a broad range of energy for sustainable development issues.
At the opeing ceremony, Mr. Nghiem Vu Khai,(Deputy Chairman of the Committee for Science, Technology and Environment of the National Assembly of Vietnam and President of Vietnam-Japan Friendship Association), and Mr. Toshihiro Kitamura (Counselor, Embassy of Japan in Hanoi) gave us the opening adddress.
